Web based Monitoring of ESF Funded Projects

EGSA has over 10 years experience of managing European Union funding and in particular ESF (European Social Funds). We have developed and implemented a range of project monitoring systems to provide the statistical information required by government departments, managing authority (Special EU Programmes Body – SEUPB) and other interested parties (e.g. Northern Ireland Statistical and Research Agency – NISRA).

Under Peace II, EGSA designed and implemented a web-based system to monitor over 100 projects in receipt of funding throughout Northern Ireland. This system supplies “live” data on the performance of any project at the click of a button and incorporates additional reporting options. Peace II funded projects found the system accessible and easy to use. This web-based system has a proven track record and has been commended by SEUPB as a valuable resource.

"The EGSA Monitoring Database provides a modern, web-based and user friendly system for the collection of the relevant EU Structural Funds information".

Adrian McNamee, Peace II Programme Manager, SEUPB

"EGSA’s monitoring system provided the basis of managing, planning and evaluating a comprehensive array of data on our Peace II funded projects. Because of the complex information needs of project promoters, this web-based system provided timely and complete beneficiary information on demand. It covered all the needs and areas of project information, not only capturing, storing and processing this data, but also assisting in the formulation and provision of end-user evaluative reporting".

Gabriel Keown – Project Co-ordinator, Fermanagh College

EGSA would now like to offer this e-monitoring tool to other organisations running ESF funded projects.  We propose to offer a managed service which will allow access to a system which will produce ESF Annual Monitoring Forms, Section 75/Equality Monitoring and performance management reports.  Full-training and on-going telephone support will also be included.

As we anticipate a high demand, we would encourage organisations interested in finding out more about the service and the relevant costs to register interest at e-monitoring@egsa.org.uk or by contacting Kevin Donaghy, PFSU Co-ordinator or Laurence Twinam, Head of ICT on T: 028 9024 4274.
