The Man Matters Project

Title: Man Matters: First Project Seminar on Men’s Health - From community to professional - the way forward?
Summary: The Man Matters Project (funded by the Big Lottery Fund) is promoted by the Men’s Learning and Health Partnership which is led by the Workers’ Educational Association. Over the next five years the project will work with hundreds of men through learning programmes in the areas of health, family, education and community/volunteering.
The project is committed to running a series of seminars which will bring together individual men, community and voluntary organisations, professionals working in the field and policy makers to discuss the learning from the project and how it can inform policy and services.
The first seminar will focus on the key area of Men’s Health and how health professionals and lay health workers from the community can both work to improve the health of men.
