Guidance and Individuals
Guidance can help you assess your current situation, identify skills and options and clarify goals, so that you can make informed decisions about learning and work and other aspects of your life. A recent English report says:
"Good information, advice and guidance can be vital for finding the right training and the right work. (It) help(s) people make the most of their lives and take in their own hands their future and that of their families and communities." World Class Skills 2007
Guidance can be of particular value if you are making changes, such as:
- redundancy
- returning to work after a break
- looking for a new challenge
It can help give you the skills for managing these changes in your learning and working life in the future.
EGSA services are free to individuals, confidential and can be delivered individually face to face, over the phone or by email.
